Bringing the music inside the helmet.
Headphone cables are usually the first thing to fail. A pair of Bluedio headphones recently stopped working due to a bad cable connection. Rather than throw them away, the speakers were repurposed by integrating them into a spare motorcycle helmet.

Both speakers were separated from the headphone casing. After some trial and error, the right placement was found. The back of each speaker was glued to the inside of the helmet, and the connecting wire was routed under the padding.

A 3.5mm female socket was soldered to the wire ends and mounted at the back-right of the helmet. Facing downward, a tug on the aux cable safely detaches it.

The result: music during the commute.
